Happy Heatwave Week!
The CoHub is also officially registered on the Greater London Authority Cool Spaces Map and is operating as a designated Cool Space throughout this period.
Residents can access:
- Free drinking water
- A cool, welcoming place to rest
- Information and advice resources
- Signposting and support
- Welfare conversations and community connection
Our Cool Space services is open Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm, at:
The CoHub
New Kingshold Community Centre
39 Kingshold Road
Hackney E9 7LP
In reality, many of our activities and services run beyond these hours, so if someone needs support please encourage them to get in touch anytime.
One positive outcome from this activation is that we have decided to make our new Stay Cool, Stay Safe Station a long-term fixture within The CoHub. Rather than creating temporary responses each time temperatures rise, the station will remain in place throughout the summer period (with a review planned for September), ensuring resources, information and activation materials are always ready when needed.
This approach reflects our wider belief that community resilience works best when it becomes part of everyday community life rather than something that only appears during emergencies.
