Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC)
Patients registered with Fountayne Road Medical Practice can now self-refer for Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services through our sister practice, Nightingale Practice.
This service offers convenient access to specialist contraceptive care without the need for a GP appointment.
What is LARC?
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) includes highly effective contraceptive methods such as:
- Contraceptive coils (IUDs and IUSs)
- Contraceptive implants
These methods provide long-term pregnancy prevention and can be removed at any time if you wish to become pregnant or change your contraception.
How to Refer Yourself
If you are interested in having a contraceptive coil or implant fitted, you can complete the self-referral form directly with Nightingale Practice.
